Stop the exploitation

About

The love and bond between two pride males.

This blog is all about creating an awareness about the ongoing exploitation of large predators in South Africa for short-term financial gain under the banner of so-called sustainable use.  You are invited to take part, post your comments or email your concerns to rescue@sanwild.org when you see or experience the blatant exploitation of large predators.  You may also report illegal activities such as illegal canned hunting or trapping of lions, leopards and cheetahs in particular by phoning us on +27(0)833103882.  All information is treated confidentially.

“Never, never, be afraid to do what’s right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society’s punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way”. – Martin Luther King, Jr

Nothing remains of the regal beauty; his life taken by a trophy hunter this lion’s mighty roars will never be heard on the African plains again

While the article is really disturbing its sad that the article gives the impression that all of South Africa functions as mentioned above.. it doesnt, this is just one really bad experience out of thousands of others that do good. Perhaps you should try to contact the correct people in Nature Conservation and SANPARKS etc or even Carte Blance a TV programme that exposes those who do wrong. http://www.carteblanche.mnet.co.za what an aweful experience you had. This needs to remedied.

  2. From what I hear the Free State is a breeding ground for the canned lion breeding programs due to lax laws. Although many organisations do good there are plenty of individuals prostituting our wildlife
